So, it looks like my old computer speaker system is on its last legs (it's been through years of use, multiple moves and reconfigurations). I'm looking for a new set. I'd like to get some with pretty good sound quality. My old one has a wired volume control that comes up on the desk. I'd like to have something similar, but I want jacks on it for microphone and headphones. Does anybody have a model that they like and would recommend? Thanks, Will

Yes, exactly what you describe and it sounds great. It's a Cambridge Soundworks system, mine's a bit older but I think the latest equivalent is this: http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/store/category.cgi?category=mul_spk_csw&item=53CW0230AA002[^]

I have about 4000 watts of sound hooked up to my PC in 5.1 at home :) 500W 12" sub woofer, four 6X9's (also 500W each) and two 200W 8" woofers for my center speakers... Its powered by 3 car amplifiers running on 4 hot-wired PC power supplies :D Its epic, especially when Petrucci can come out and play \m/

Logitech Z-5500s. The direct decedent of the epic Z-680s that I own.

I thought this would be about Michael Martin. No, that Michael Martin, I mean the ex-speaker of The House of Commons
