You see, making software a lot easier to develop attracts the wrong crowd.

And then you realise native language programming *still* exists for a reason after all. :)

Not wrong, you I've cut my teeth on assembly language/C/C++ which should elevate my creditability to a 'Guru' level.

I know you've come the long way, Norm. I've always had a great deal of respect for the ones who started off from the basics and worked their way up. All the botched code I've ever had to fix in my previous companies (not to mention their nightmare multithreaded code), were written by assholes who jumped 'right away' into things like MFC, .NET without understanding the basics of anything. :) Fortunately I'm presently working for a company where I get to do amazing work. :)

Opium is my business. The bridge mean more traffic. More traffic mean more money. More money mean more power. Speed is important in business. Time is money. You said opium was money. Money is Money. Well then, what is time again? icalburner

It's the long road, way back in the Mini-mainframe era things where interesting you had an 'affinity' with the Operating System, you where a lot more closer mechanics of software development. You see I have the theory the pyramid theory. Those close to the top understand the internals of programming and as you get down the the base of the prymaid you're left you those you don't, this covers scripting langugaes/VB etc. I would say I'm 'near' the top end (but no means the very top), therefore I appriaciate things a little more that the bottom of the pryamid section. Glad to hear you've find a job where you enjoy coding. These position are becoming like 'unicorn tears' very rare indeed.:) Well I'm off to wrap the SqlDependency class.
