I just bought a female pug dog, but I don't have idea what is best name for it. I'm wondering it could be a geek name. Do you have any suggestion? I also have two cats named Dot and Net.

Why do you feel the need to ask? Framework of course. :)

Having owned or worked in the same office as: A border collie called "PIP" (anyone remember RSX11M?) A lurcher called "DOS" A cat called "Microwave The Cat in Orange Sauce" (just don't ask, ok?) How about "Obfuscate"? You would sound either a) geeky, or b) erudite depending on the geeky-ness of the listener when you called the dog back!

Call it Cat, and cause ultimate confusion.

You could do what my Mum did, and ask my niece (her grand-daughter) - but then you'd end up with a dog called Rosie[^] as well! Or there's what one of my friends did - call them after a classical figure[^] - Hector in this case, but there're plenty of female figures. Subtle geeky names - Ada[^], Grace[^]

Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p
