...7.1 doesn't completely suck! :) It's the first version in ages (AFAIK) to allow you to export your contacts in text/csv format! (Since v4 all data has been saved in a single binary, with no export function.) I does however have a GUI that propbably looks okay on a phone and will only transfer the Contact numbers in the phone - not the SIM  (but that's okay because they are easy to move from the SIM to the phone). Just thought I'd share because I've done enough ranting about the lack of an export function in the past.

My phone is an LG, my PDA is HP. They both share info via Outlook so my phone, PC and PDA all co-ordinate to share my contacts. In theory, a brilliant idea - outlook works (just) and the other two update as wanted / backup as needed. In practice? Works brilliantly - the phone is a bit stupid when it comes to connecting, rather than automatic, but that aside I have no complaints. For me, that is very rare.

It must be fairly easy to use as I was able to talk my dad through downloading and installing it followed by running the software to transfer contacts from a phone with an unusable screen to a brand new replacement. This was done over the phone and my dad's fairly computer illiterate (to be fair, he is learning quickly).
