I have to protect a subsite which contains under a subsite with a simple password which can be set in list and given away... That way it will be easy to restrict access to a few people. This is not the must secure way but for thing like press release or press picture it's convient to give a simple password. I have created a WebPart which protects a page, i need to extend it to subsite level i dont want to use webpart in everypage on the site, once user enters correct password he/she should be able to see information. Any hints to here to start from ?

Set the User Permissions under Site Settings, Users and Groups.
