Not in the lounge old chap. In here we will attack views and opinions, not the individual who holds them. SB1 is where nasty things happens, but even then it is only those who are arses that get abused.

But people often mistake this for personal attacks. Nothing you can do about that though.

This is exactly my point. See this: http://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.aspx?msg=3152861#xx3152861xx[^]

Being called a "French Bastard" is outrageous and plain insult. If you cannot see in the appropriate thread where I have been insulted this way, this is only because M. Jimmy Rope has modified his posts...

I agree. I never saw that post. I was just making a general observation. :)

No I called you "clueless naive bastard" and in another sentence "a Frenchman with no personality" which was a reference to a previous post where I suggested that you go to Tijuana and get a personality. It -- the suggestion to go to Tijuana -- was an attempt at levity, which you did not comprehend. Perhaps it is a cultural problem? I asked for a truce but you obviously still have your knickers in a twist so I suggest that we take this to the "Back Room", as Chris suggested, if you would like to continue your rant. <edit> Back Room[^] </edit>

No problem. It is actually hard to sort things out among posts made by someone who keeps on modifying them, and pretending.

I always have trouble relating KSS censorship to my sister, I could not let her on here, she would be bound to offend the majority of the sensitive here.

I think the KSS rule has nothing to do with sensibilities and everything to do with posting at work. In the States you can be fired for cause if someone looks over your shoulder and sees something offensive on your monitor, even a small swear.

It is probably the same here in Singapore :) I had not really thought about it.

What if it's something that came in on your e-mail and you opened it without knowing what was there?
