Add Onions to your list as well, he can't bat and he's a pretty expensive bowler unless he occasionally gets a wicket. I'd never thought I'd say this but England miss Flintoff and Pieterson in the middle order.

If at first you don't succeed, you're not Chuck Norris.

Onions? Yeah, we could replace him with Sidebottom. And as for Flintoff and Pieterson - they are the only true world class performers we have in the team. Pieterson probably shouldn't have even started the Ashes as I think he was struggling with an injury, and they shouldn't have risked him - for his own health. And as for Freddie (the only bowler that seems to understand the values of line, length and consistency) he's been broken for ages. And now he's even more broken. As the old saying goes - you never know what you've got until it's gone.

Pietersen, yes, but I think Flintoff is over-rated. Oh, well, England are back in familiar territory. When was the last time they led in a Test series against a better-ranked team?

If only. Losing by an innings and 80 runs is just embarrassing.

Come, Mustafa, you must get acquainted with cricket. You are half-Canadian, your team has made it to the World Cup on more occasions than one! Cricket is one of the few sports that can be termed elegant - the cover drive that bisects the gap in the field, throwing down the stumps from midwicket, or the ball turning just enough to beat the bat and crash into the stumps. The only other outdoor sport that comes close is tennis.

Cheers, Vikram. (Proud to have finally cracked a CCC!)

Sorry Vikram, but to me, this reads like well worded gibberish. I have absolutely no clue as to what you mean!

It's only rape if you say no, and if you fight back.

Granted. I was shouting no at the TV, if that counts.
