Being 40
-
Hi all. Now that I've been 40 years old for several months, I'm beginning to be haunted by comments friends of mine made when I was 39... each telling me what would be the first thing to go. The ones that were younger than 40 were just giving me a hard time of course, but I paid attention to the ones who were over 40. The one comment that seemed to come back again and again was "the eyes" - "the muscles in your eyes will start to go shortly after you turn 40" was a prediction made by a friend about me. I'm beginning to think she was right! My eyes lately are starting to give me problems, and in some weird ways. I think I need a trip to the eye doctor and maybe a set of glasses. For the 40+'ers out there, what was the "first thing to go" for you? I still feel like a little kid in many ways (the good kinds :-) ) but I think my eyes are feeling their age.
