Let me see, he was in the US to promote a film about racial profiling of Muslims after 9/11. He is making a big fuss about an hour detention to clarify his identity, a detention which TSA says was not an "official detention", but merely an "informal interfview" (Bureacrats - I have no idea what the significant difference might be). What do you suppose the possibility is that Khan is doing this in part as a publicity stunt for the film, and that he caused most of the ruckus himself? It certainly wouldn't be the first time a celebrity took advantage of the stupid security tools (minimum wage functionaries who srte paid to 'just follow the rules')? And why do you find it necessary to keep bring this up? (added my 1 to your "ghost voter").

Everything was going as planned until the customs official said "bend over and spread'em"! :~

Indians might have learned English, and kicked them out on 08/15, but... http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gJqZbM0emKNsC982qV0yDXI5RHVQD9A3T84O0[^] Quote: "... in India, where the ability to avoid being frisked at airports is seen as a status symbol." ...in the US no one is above the laws. A few months back, a very well known south Indian actor was similarly detained but it did not make as big a news splash as this one did : http://www.filmysouth.com/malayalam_movie_news/mammootty_detained/may-08-2009/mammootty_detained_at_us_airport.html[^] Incidentally the actor is from my native state in India, and is also coincidentally a Muslim (his name happened to be on the no-fly list). The actor later told journalists that he personally did not think it was racial profiling, but the local media in my state made a big issue about it.
