Are we destined to fail or do we plan to fail?

I was going through http://gmugando.blogspot.com/2009/08/10-ways-to-failure-quickie-guide-to.html[^] which offers tips on how to fail in life. And I am just wondering, is failure fate or do we plan for it?? I have failed without actually having to come up with ways to do that.

Apart from number 10 which is clearly wacko, I'd agree with most of those. Of course just because you don't do any of these things doesn't mean that you won't fail but if you have a few of those habits you'll almost certainly fail for sure.

No I never plan to fail, but my point is I do. I am not sure what it depends that's where I seek clarification. From your view what are examples of the dependencies??

Grant failed.

Nothing is cast in stone. Even accidental success is possible.

I guess that's true but the result of a single attempt at something is not important, what's important is the result of all the attempts. If you plan in order to succeed and then execute that plan then the result is much more likely to be a success than if you go into life believing you're going to fail. People who are generally successful learn from their mistakes, brush themselves down and pick themselves up and go and succeed the next time. People who court failure dwell on their mistakes and whine about how everything was stacked against them.

If you plan to fail, and fail, you have succeeded.
