I seem to get these at least 1 time per month from someone who I do not know and who is not in my extensive gmail contacts list. I'm wondering is there some facebook scam? [EDIT]http://www.419legal.org/blog/2008/10/03/facebook-email-invite-phishing-scam-internet-scams/[^][/EDIT]

I get them too, but all of them (so far) have led to legitimate Facebook accounts. What I can't figure out is why someone I don't know, and who has no mutual friends listed, want to add me? That makes no sense. Are there people who are so lonely that surrounding themselves with strangers on Facebook makes them feel loved? These people invariably have 100+ friends, an impossible number to keep in touch with. I don't get it.
