Ok, so I can run a CodeProject screensaver and see what the most recent posts/articles are. This is ok, but what I really want is a CodeProject RSS feed - something to plug into the (almost) lovely feedreader. Then, I can see if there are new articles that would interest me without having to continue opening Internet Explorer or use a CodeProject screensaver (lovely as they are!). It would rock if you could stop the mouse from terminating the screensaver (Mike Dunns) so that you could select a thread from it  Maybe an option to set the right click to terminate it or something

It is a definite no-no to run BITMAP as a user command. Your nose will grow, your lawn will die, your hair will fall out, and your first-born will marry an aardvark. Shame on you! -

I believe Mr Watson wrote an RSS feed for codeproject. Not sure if he got it working fully or not. Cheers James

I have it open all day and you can set it up to regularly check CP for new articles and lounge posts. (For the taskbar implementation version read this thread and download the file) Also, I hope Chris does not mind me saying, but I am in the process of creating an RSS feed for CP. Not sure when it will go up but it is coming :) Feedread is quite good, though I dislike the way you have to have it as the active window before you can exit it via the taskbar.

Cape Town, South AfricaExcellent news! Your program's a great holdover until the RSS feed is finished - I simply don't like having too many things on my system tray and two for collecting news from different websites is a bit like overkill. Now, if only someone could make a better feedreader (with integrated CodeProject feed) we'd really be talking! Cheers, -- Simon Steele Programmers Notepad - http://www.pnotepad.org/

+Simon Steele wrote: I simply don't like having too many things on my system tray and two for collecting news from different websites is a bit like overkil I agree, but for CP+ I thought the systray was the only place really. Taking up a whole taskbar slot would be worse. Got any ideas as to another alternative to the systray for CP+? Once I get that RSS feed done for CP I am going to convert CP+ to using the feed rather than the web-service (more efficient I would warrant.) So maybe I will allow the user to specify alternative RSS feeds... though then the app is creeping away from what it should be. Maybe a whole new dedicated RSS feed app is in order. The CP RSS feed could come as a built-in "Recommended Feeds." So many ideas, so little follow through...
