Why on earth would you lose your job over not having a google voice account? Are there not labour laws in your country over unfair dismissal, as I can't see why this would be grounds?

So, you got drunk, opened your mouth and said something stupid (like make a promise) and now you're going to lose your job because you don't have an invite to Google Voice? Correct?? Well, you've just shown your boss how irresponsible you are, so wouldn't it be appropriate that you DO lose your job?? So, now that I've pretty much slapped you in the face, why didn't you try to type "Google Voice Invite" into, of all things, GOOGLE, and, low-and-behold, there's this little link[^] that goes to "Request an invite"... Now that you've shown your boss that you can't do very simple research, shouldn't this be an even bigger reason to lose your job??
