The BMW plant here in South Carolina will begin doing that soon. Recycling the methane from a nearby landfill to help power the manufacturing plant. Hmmm... after reading this article, I have some questions: 1. Who funds these "scientists"? The school thru gov't grants? Private corporations? (not farmers, evidently!) 2. How much of the study is based upon "simulation based upon emissions projections"? What projections? That's like an estimate based upon other estimates based upon other estimates... 3. Where's the proof? Where's the scientifically reproducible data, so I (or others) can verify the results? Follow the money -- in the end, it's getting more and more common for scientists to fudge/create some data just to get more funding... and the worst ones are paid by the taxpayer... Just some thoughts.. and rants... "If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it." -- Jeremiah 18:7-10 (God, commenting on the value of the United Nations)

Good point. Working with folk in the science and medical communities, my opinion of them is continually lowering. So much research is conducted purely on the sale of an abstract idea's benefits, and not on the possibility of it succeeding. Ego also plays a massive part in this. Regardz Colin J Davies

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.
