Windows Installer. It is ungodly slow. I uninstalled this really tiny app that had MSIs, dear god it was forever on the "preparing" and "cancelling" stage. Installation mostly freezes at the "registering" stage. I wrote an Inno-based installer for Eclipse, and we know how large that is. It just went on, zippily. Microsoft failed at installers. Note to self: DEB/RPMs (Linux only, I love that penguin - wish Windows had a good package manager) and ZIPs first, NSIS and Inno second, MSI never.

People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realize how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world. - Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes)(The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes, p105-3)

MSI is just too damn slow. Also, MS really deserves a slapping for making MSI's that refuse to install on XP x64 even though the program they install runs fine on XP x64. (such as every Live program they have)

That's what I hate. I think it's the perfect example of how, in Vista et al., Microsoft took things that were easy to find and wrapped them in layers of crud.

You know what I hate? People who get to the checkout, pack their bags, and then, when they are told the price, look surprised and only then do they start hunting around for their money.

Or people who sit at red turn signals, staring at the red light, then fall asleep when it turns green and only start moving when it turns orange again. Too bad for the 10 people sitting behind them. They sit there, they have nothing to do but prepare for take off, and they can't even manage that simple task.

I once drove by somebody who was asleep in their car at a left turn lane at an intersection. Either that, or they had died and slumped over.
