Windows Installer. It is ungodly slow. I uninstalled this really tiny app that had MSIs, dear god it was forever on the "preparing" and "cancelling" stage. Installation mostly freezes at the "registering" stage. I wrote an Inno-based installer for Eclipse, and we know how large that is. It just went on, zippily. Microsoft failed at installers. Note to self: DEB/RPMs (Linux only, I love that penguin - wish Windows had a good package manager) and ZIPs first, NSIS and Inno second, MSI never.

That's what I hate. I think it's the perfect example of how, in Vista et al., Microsoft took things that were easy to find and wrapped them in layers of crud.

I once drove by somebody who was asleep in their car at a left turn lane at an intersection. Either that, or they had died and slumped over.
