Asking About Posting Questions Here

Hello. Can I post issues about computer hardwares here?

Hi Gamer1127, In general, many people do, but : if you start such posts here with a title like this : "Why X Sucks Today" Where "X" is replaced by what it is you are writing about, observation suggests your questions will get more responses. However, if you post questions that have such phrases as "I need help with," or "why does my kerfloozle 2.0 not get recognized by Windows Vista SP2," you may get dumped on. And don't take the opinions in any one response, like this one, too seriously. best, Bill
"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." Ada, Countess Lovelace, 1844

It depends on the nature of post. If you are just ranting about something, great, we all will have fun cursing them. If it is some error or something, you can use Hardware and devices forum.

Yes, you can, but you have to be careful and post your questions to the right forum. In the left pane there is a link to the Hardware & Devices forum - that's where you want to go. Curiously, when I reply to a message, the link disappears, but it's there in the normal Lounge view. If you post such questions here in the Lounge you're likely to get your most precious parts toasted by the flames, but if you post them in the proper place you will receive a hero's welcome. Well, in truth, that might be asking a lot, but the denizens of this site will be much nicer if you use the correct forum for your questions. And we'll try really hard to find you a helpful answer... :)
