Is there some device that will get my cable signal and send it over wireless to my TV? If there is what do I need for the cable signal and what do I need for my TV?

Found these anybody have experience the x10 is cheaper but shorter range... http://www.x10.com/promotions/wireless_video_sender_vk82a.html[^] This one is $200 but has much greater range. Hmmm what would Chuch Norris John Simmons do? :omg: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/483122-REG/RF_Link_ACS_5820_ACS_5820_5_8GHz_Wireless_Cable.html[^]

There are several, but all the ones I know of only transmit analog video (composite) over the air. Unfortunately, there really is no substitute for snaking a cable feed closer to your TV. /ravi

If it is the output of the cable receiver then a video sender is fine, the cable signal itself however is not suitable for a sender.

Smarthome[^] might have something. You could hire someone to run the cable for less though.

Sorry, but I had to reread that a few times... 'wireless' 'cable' 'jack' just seemed so triply redundant to me :) Kind of like those really old 'wired infra-red extenders' you used to see when wireless remotes first came out so you could control your VCR in the living room from your bedroom. Just never sounded right.

If you like crisp audio and video, then you will be highly disappointed with wireless transmission...

Do you know this from the 1st person or are you repeating what you have heard?

I've tried to "fix" two different products. Neither of them was an X-10 though, but I'm sure they contain generic Taiwanese electronics anyway, so I doubt there is much difference between them. They work excellent in line of sight, but for each wall you add, you get another layer of "VHS tape" quality if you know what I mean. Don't even think about concrete walls/floors... The electric <-> radio converters will also lose quality.
