Authority / Enquirer
-
I may be imagining things, but anyway: I answered this question http://www.codeproject.com/answers/50450/WinForms-MultiThreading-InvokeRequired-on-Control-.aspx#answer1[^] It was accepted as an answer and voted a 1. Well, ok  I refreshed my reputation ( still new and shiny :) ) and it had gone down by 2 points. But I could have sworn my Enquirer rep went down, not my Authority. So I looked at the FAQ and there seems to be an error: for Authority you get +5 or -2 for an up or down vote on a question and for Enquirer you get +5 or -2 for an up or down vote on an answer. Surely this is the wrong way around? It's the other ( correct ) way around for forum questions and answers. Also, don't you get anything for having your answer accepted? Nick

that sounds right then. Your post didn't have a question mark icon, but it started a thread, so there must have been a question in there... But then, thread starters in bugs&suggs should be considered a contribution as Organizer, don't you think? :)

Given that Organisers apparently retag content, I wouldn't think so. I'd think it would be Participant.
OSDev :)
I'm not sure what Participant is for, everything we do here is participate one way or another. :)

I thought you meant that you had voted on my QAQ answer - someone did and I think it was that vote that ( erroneously ) increased my Enquirer rep. As Pi said, I seem to have got 10 Participant points for the 2 votes on this thread. And I thought the 20 different possible votes on articles was  Nick

Thanks for pointing that out. I think it should be the other way around too. No you don't currently gain points for having your answer be accepted. I'll suggest it to the team and see what they think.

No problem! We've made the corrections and we have a green light on the Accept Answer reputation type.
