        Been fecking -17C here (near Manchester) - nearby river was frozen this morning Still glad i'm not in scotland where it often gets worse tho

                  I'm originally from Saddleworth, near Oldham. I'm missing home right now, because there was nothing nicer than taking a walk onto the moors and taking a look at the snow.

                    Hehe, yes I'm a Bristol girl. It's been milder than forecast here and only one significant fall of snow, maybe 8cm on the north side of the city because we're sheltered. The only downside is the street I live on doesn't get gritted so a few people in the street go to the roadside bins and spread some. I've been able to work at hohme for a couple of days so it's bveen OK for me.
