I have had this bouncing in my head for some time and I don't think I posted this already. Most of my tech mags/journal subscriptions have run-out. Since I'm currently unemployed and don't have a lot of spare cash for renewals, does anyone know of any titles that I can get a partial free subscription (even if just for a few months)?

I get Visual Studio Magazine for free. There is some sort of screening process I guess. I filled out some online form and they started sending me the magazine. I believe it was the form on VisualStudioMagazine.com that I filled out.

Do what every starving engineering college student does to keep current - lie. You are not unemployed; you're a consultant. And keep in mind that it's unlikely that your previous employer reported your termination to all the trade magazine publishers. They probably only notified a few of them. Many companies encourage employees to subscribe to trade publications, but require them to use home delivery rather than cluttering the office. There's a box to check on the bingo cards for that.
