Of course you can! Just check the 'Enable LAN' option, and make sure your default gateway is not overwritten by the VPN connection.

connection properties window > networking tab > internet protocol version > properties > advanced --> uncheck 'Use default gateway on remote network'

BTW, your regular internet connection can't be used while you're using VPN.

Where is that setting at? It's not on my preferences dialog.
3x12=36 2x12=24 1x12=12 0x12=18
In the connection properties. Under Transport, check 'Allow Local LAN Access'.
