What's intelligence have to do with it? :)

Anyone have any ideas for a weekly survey? I have a few bubbling away but I figured you lot would surely have some burning questions you're aching to know the answer to. - average length of mouse cord - cable or wireless peripherals - Legal or A4 - Pencil or Pen The list is endless.

Boxers or briefs Ginger or Mary Ann What languages have you programmed in (Assembly Cobol, PL/1, Fortran, Pascal, Ada, Lisp, C, C++, VB, C#) What was your first personal computer (Atari 400, Apple 1, Commodore 64, Pet, TRS-80, etc) When did you start programming *for a living* (probably have to use date ranges to keep it simple) During daylight hours, what can you see from the window nearest to your computer? (White sandy beaches, a tree, the sky, a city street, a handy cliff, I don't have a window)

Why not ask if people are planning on developing for the iPad, and/or owning one ? Seems timely. Or ask 'why have you not bought a Mac yet ?' Answers: 1 - I have, I'm not stupid 2 - I like computers that crash 3 - It's an adventure wondering if Windows will work today 4 - I am related to Bill Gates 5 - I own MS shares, and I am trying desperately to get them to rise in value again 6 - I'm just dumb.

1). Because if Mac software is anything like iTunes on windows, I'd rather claw my eyes out with a rusty spoon. 2). It has precisely zero applications that I care about. 3). Because my boss is an Apple fanboy too, and I just couldn't let him influence me. (See also, C. Graus) ;P 4). I buy a computer for work. And I work with Microsoft products. 5). I buy a computer to play games on. 'nuff said. 6). I cannot afford a second mortgage for a computer that is lower-equipped than my laptop, for more money. 7). All of the above.

You need to do a survey on surveys. That's recursive and cool. Even hamsters can appreciate that.

The best photo app I've ever seen. A perfectly good office suite that interops with Office. Windows running in a window if I ever need it for anything. But, that's not the point. The OS works. Any platform has the apps you need, the platform is the point.

Well, that's a religious reason, I can't say anything about that. Notice that Windows has no fanboys ? Why is that ?

Anyone have any ideas for a weekly survey? I have a few bubbling away but I figured you lot would surely have some burning questions you're aching to know the answer to. - average length of mouse cord - cable or wireless peripherals - Legal or A4 - Pencil or Pen The list is endless.

cheers, Chris Maunder The Code Project Co-founder Microsoft C++ MVP

What ridiculous leap of logic is that? :wtf: I write software during the day, and in the evening I relax with computer games. My point was, that the games I play are only available for Windows. Buying a computer that is capable of playing games doesn't mean it won't run Visual Studio.
