Anyone here using Microsoft Security Essentials? Any problems / dislikes?

    Best wishes, Hans

Me. Works properly, low specs required, it is easy to use, it is free... By now, I've tried Mcafee (who ates a lot of RAM) and liked it, avira (who detected viruses that Mcafee didn't and it was free but filled of ads) and MSE (that is free, non intrusive and it doesn't fill the screen of ads). 10/10 for me, but of course I've not found a situation in which it has to work a lot... PS: all this post is based on my personal findings and impressions...

I'm using it and haven't had any problems with it at all. I had actually forgotten that it was installed.

:D Was just thinking about that a few days back - a former neighbor called me from Lake Havasu, asked if I'd forward his mail there. And of course, he had to brag about sitting in the sun, working on his trailer while I was getting snowed on.

It's been uncommonly gorgeous this past week or two. The weather service continues to predict rain any minute now, but the sun persists in shining bright and warm. We are seeing some cloud cover today, so it may be that the weather is finally going to cooperate this weekend. That should make the weather service geeks happy. :-D
