25+8 like the rest of us, or 33 and then the 8 bank holidays on top? It still not enough for me. Half-term we-re going over to Hunland for the week [5 days] and I'll take my normal 3 weeks in August [15]. Now I only have one week left. :sigh:

Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done.

Speak for youself, this year I'm clocking 39 days (Holiday carry overs and days in lieu) :)

All right, you guys, I got eight crates of Ipecac from Mort. All on my tab. Now, whoever goes the longest without puking gets the last piece of pie in the fridge.

It does not depend on how many official non-working days you have but rather on how many your boss allows you to take.

Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest.
Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for...

Lucky Bugger! But then I have to ask if you will manage to take them all?

I'll give it a good go, no doubt there'll be carry overs for next year.

No, Holidays are a legal entitlement. In law you are entitled to 8 public holidays plus 20 days at your discretion, (Although Xmas usually accounts for 3-4 of them). However, I get 8 + 25 days because I negotiated it.

She is 61 in May and refuses to retire, but is looking to reduce her burden from 5 days to 4 days a week.

Very cool. Last time I tried negotiating, I ended up working Saturday and Sunday and got just one day compensatory off in lieu - loosing an entire holiday. :(

You need to hire a negotiator! I am very cheap, just fly me in, put me up in a 5 star hotel and I can negotiate a better pay deal and a few extra days holiday. :)
