I wish it were that simple! My co-contractor has a home-grown C++ library already in place based on the Douglas Young book, "Object Oriented Programming with C++ and OSF/Motif." We're also using the XRT widget libraries from Sitraka Software. So, unfortunately, I don't have any choice in the matter. :(( -- Paul "I drank... WHAT?"

It's hard to imagine people building GUI apps these days that they only intend to run on a particular Unix platform. Oh well, at least it's with C++. *cough*Debugger?*cough* ;) Actually, this is a cross-platform application. It was originally designed to run on HP-UX. However, their customer wants it to run on Linux now, because they think Linux will be cheaper than HP-UX. Yes, the hardware and software is less expensive, but now they have to address the cost of retraining personel, and face the fact that they don't have one vendor (HP) to turn to when there's a problem. They'll have to do all of the technical stuff in-house instead of farming it out. Idiots. -- Paul "I drank... WHAT?"

Ah - that brings back memories... I remember we used to use Motiff with the understanding our apps would be cross platform. BWahahaha <-- cynical laugh cheers, Chris Maunder
