Do you have what it takes to be a billionaire?

Well, read the following and decide for yourself: http://www.forbes.com/2010/03/11/born-to-be-a-billionaire-entrepreneurs-management-assessment.html[^] I am missing 3 things out of the 11.
I'm not sure how to objectively answer those questions, so I'm not sure if I have what it takes, but I'm willing to give it a go and see how I like it, all the same.

Are they: 1) Lie 2) Cheat 3) Steal ? In fact, I'd hazard a guess that the 8 things you can do are irrelevant if you can't do those three.

You also have to cozy up with select groups of people who religiously are into corrupt power.

Seriously Martin? You think every billionaire got that way by lying cheating and stealing? I would hazard a guess that being willing to work harder than the average person who thinks you have to steal or cheat or lie to get rich is one, more than average intelligence and most importantly to be driven on your own to sacrifice anything it takes should round out the top three the rest is probably all luck.

ROTFL !!! I remember once going to a church that told me all rock bands are members of the Illuminati. As I played guitar and wrote songs, I wondered how the Illuminati find out when I'm at the point where I need to join. This is no different. Your belief in a group so powerful they can control all of society to the degree that they can stop someone from becoming wealthy is a fantasy that comes from your inability to deal with a world where random things happen. It has no basis in reality.

Its called government. Taxes, permits, licenses, selective enforcement, direct control of the money supply, and other corruption benefits a select few at the expense of others. Its like communism where the economy is centrally planned and most of the media is strictly controlled.

I know I could never be a billionaire for at least 2 reasons, so the rest don't matter: 1) After a few hundred million, who cares? 2) People in high places discriminate based on color: My nose is the wrong color.

If only everything was as black and white as glib comments posted late at night on an internet forum :) Having said that, though, I was reading about Warren Buffet the other day - someone I have quite a lot of respect for and who seems to be relatively "clean" - and even he has some skeletons in the closet.

willing to work harder
OK, assume a cleaner gets 6€/hour - that's already an the upper end in most places. Do you think someone can be really 10 times as productive? 20 times? OK, let's assume 100 times. Now, assume someone is 100 times as productive, is willing to work six days a week for 12 hours, without vacations. He made his first billion after only 445 years - without accounting for living cost or inflation. I agree that "every billionaire is a liar, cheater, stealer" is debatable. But "work harder" is a pipe dream at best, an insult to everyone who does work hard. Hard work makes the least money.

Smarter needs to be combined with harder or else you get no where. When we started our business we worked harder than anyone else I know for many years and people would say "oh I wish I had my own business and could make money like you guys do" and the only thing stopping them was a semi good idea and a lot of hard work.
