Cyclone (hurricane for the USA) party is on track -we expect: a bit of wind a bit of water some more wind the sea walking through the front door So, preparation is - take everything that could blow around, away. Including the the clothes pegs on the clothes line thing No more problem with the neighbour garden sheds. They have not replaced them from the last time they wer thrown into the (one) pool - with contents. Multi ice bags with the neighbors storage (a farmer)- perhaps 5000 litres to preserve the communities frozen foods after the event. THIS ALSO KEEPS THE BEER COLD. not necessarily fun, but if we survive, since we cant go to work, it's a BBQ, beer, every day for a week. (oh and lots of chainsaw competetion) Sunday - for the US Saturday is crunch day. hoot

Candy: Here's the plan: we changes our names, move to a distant island, and disguise ourselves as a family of traveling donkey polishers.

It looks like it is weakening, but the last thing you guys need is more rain. Cold beer, however, IS essential.

I'm a fair bit further north but we have had one go right over the top of us some years ago, tracked like this and just follewed the north to us. Thing is, it's such a large system we we will have big winds and heavy rain, and I'm a baseball throw from the beach. But yeah it's a good thing it is weakening. http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65002.shtml[^]
