Disabling Windows XP Mode
-
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable Windows XP mode so that an application would be forced to try to run under Windows 7?

I've never used Win7, but I would think you'd have to explicitly launch an app in XP mode (otherwise, it would run under 7). Is that not the case?

From what I'm seeing with my app, it auto-magically opens in XP mode. Trying to make the app Win 7 friendly so trying to figure out what's wrong to begin with.

Dunno what your app is lunching in, comparability mode perhaps, but XP Mode is a VM integrated into the desktop. To run an app in XPmode you have to explicitly start the VM normally and install it there first. IIRC compatability mode can be fiddled with from the EXE's properties dialog.
