Anyone know how to find out whether Windows 7 has detected an SSD as such and if it hasn't if there's a way to manually mark it as one or perform the relevant tweaks manually? I just sort of assumed mine was working but apparantly not according to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproperf/thread/d2add7ad-0492-4e19-ae69-3081d218bd26[^] My Intel X25-M *is* listed after clicking "Select disks".

I was under the assumption that the hardware interface made it look like a normal hard drive so the standard drivers could be used...

I've read in several places that defrag, prefetch, superfetch and several other things that are supposed to be harmful to SSDs are meant to be disabled by default in Win 7. Mine appear to be enabled though :sigh:
