It's official..one full week with no email
-
What started with a simple password change has now resulted a full week with no email at work (personal email is prohited and blocked already). Yeah...it involves Lotus Notes and a really big-ass IT company, but the bigger picture is actually how nice it has been upon reflection.

Until someone fixes the glitch and you have an inbox nearing max capacity. :)

prohibited, but only behind a "yes I know I can't use it for work" click-through EULA type page here. :rolleyes: Unless in the middle of company wide outage your client says over the phone "you will email me this using your personal account". As it happened IT was either too busy with the exchange server meltdown to keep an eye on the logs, was officially ignoring the prohibition since violations were ultimately their fault, or never actually had a checker in place; because my coworker was never pinged. If they did notice our boss would've taken the hit for him.
3x12=36 2x12=24 1x12=12 0x12=18

EULA type page
That would be nice. I could just ask coworker to send stuff if I REALLY needed/wanted.
For a while, with Outlook, I set a rule saying to delete any message marked "important". :-D (Eventually I changed it to simply mark it "normal".)

Email capable phone? I do that because I just don't want my personal email going through my work network.

My brother has a palm prix and it is what I'd get and as far as connections with the outside world at work, it would be game over if I did. But, the cost threshold is just a tiny bit above my means (got two kids).
Wait till he isn't looking, and 'borrow' it!

Suggest he upgrade to a new phone and mention every now and then how the new phone is really awesome. When he eventually decides to upgrade, graciously accept the old "crappy" phone. ;)

Slight problem with that angle: his job is to facilitate the delivery of music service to a wide variety of cell phone types--a bit of a phone guru. Plus, I keep hearing the new and emerging features out of his mouth every week that get added to this palm prix phone he has.
