It is two o'clock in the morning and a Java programmer and his wife are asleep when suddenly the phone rings. The Java programmer picks up the phone and says, "Hello?! How the heck would I know? Am I the weather man?" promptly slamming the phone down. His wife rolls over and asks, "Who was that?" The Java programmer replies, "I don't know, it was some guy who wanted to know if the coast was clear."

hey Mr. Nish, your book link only listed a dealer in India for purchase. Is it available in the US or do I have to order it online? Or, and better yet, can you send me a copy (pdf, doc, txt, etc...) and save me the effort, and expense of ordering it? --------------------------------------------- The greenest grass is NOT on the other side of the fence, its the grass you take care of. Have you watered your lawn lately?

I guess you'll have to buy it online. Some of the other CPians here (from the USA) have ordered the book and got it (though one of them had major delays). Nish

Guess I gotta do it if I actually want to read/review it eh. --------------------------------------------- The greenest grass is NOT on the other side of the fence, its the grass you take care of. I am glad you want to buy it and read it. I wrote it when I was 20-21 :-) It's a romantic comedy :-) PG Wodehousian style book! BTW the publishers conned me, so I won't get a single penny :-( But I'll derive satisfaction that so many people read my book. BTW Americans might be confused by an ever-present South Indian social pattern throughout the book! Nish

I'm a published poet but in that I always knew there was no money unless I went the anthology way. But I am working on a book - a suspense/thriller (two chapters in 5 years so don't hold off getting married till I finish it... LOL). I would hate to think of putting the time into it and getting nothing back, then again, maybe you feel the same about your book as I do about my poetry - didn't do it to make a $. Nishant S wrote: Americans might be confused by an ever-present South Indian social pattern Can you offer helpful info as to what to expect, that is, what the differences are etc so I might better understand and appreciate the work? Mel Feik wrote: Is that a standard pratice to getting published Well, I found it hard to find a publisher that didn't take money as this was my first Book and English is not a native Indian language! If I was an American or a brit, it'd prolly have been easier for me (or at least if I was living in one of those countries) Nish
