Is PrtScn yet another "feature" that's partially broken in Vista? Or is it an issue with my nVidia (Quadro FX 570) video drivers? At some point PrtScn just stops working and I can't seem to capture an image anymore. I FREAKING HATE VISTA AAAARRRRGGGGGGGG (assuming it's an issue with Vista :)

My keyboard has an F-Lock key that must be off in order for the PrtScn key to work.

I haven't used PrtScn since I bought SnagIt. Cheers, Drew.

Yeah, what's with that crap? Function keys are all of a sudden becoming second citizens to media player controls and shortcut keys to whatever those unrecognizable icons point to. Pretty soon even the letters will disappear, replaced with icons for "OMG!" "LOL" and "FU". About all we need to communicate, right? We should figure out what a "programmer's" keyboard should look like. Here's[^] some amusing results. And then there's this.[^] Marc

What about using %windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe? I use that tool much more than print screen, and it saves me from opening mspaint. Cheers.

I normally use WindowClippings but I'm not sure how to make it capture tooltips so I temprarily disable it and use PrtScn. But I get one of 3 results 1) a proper image 2) a black and white image 3) no image at all. It's as if the Vista clipboard has become corrupt?

Were you in receiving when the new upgrades arrived? How did you know what they ordered for us? ;)
