Another curious find
-
A couple of days ago I found[^] a snafu on the google car street view. I thought it was just a fluke finding that after a few minutes random browsing street views during a mental break. Then this morning, as a way of saving my sanity from my kids watching Wonderpets, I randomly browsed street view and hey presto found another snafu within minutes here[^]. So, do I suffer from Graussian syndrome or did the street view crew just get bored a lot?

Looks like it happens just as a car passed on the other side at the intersection of 59, then they pulled off quite a ways later to remove whatever the "obstruction" was. Yes, it's a Saturday morning, and I'm bored... Dybs
The shout of progress is not "Eureka!" it's "Strange... that's not what i expected". - peterchen

Actually, it seems to have all started right by a car that's the same color as the "bag" that's on the camera. See here. Based on the direction the car appeared to be travelling at each end of the snafu, I'd say there were at least two different street view cars involved. Some of the "footage" from one of them was probably used for that stretch of road that we can't see. At the intersection, they appear to have been travelling North. At the pullout, they appear to have been travelling South. Could have been bagged at the intersection or the pullout, or could have been a third street view car they used the footage from for that stretch (that had the bag on the entire time).
