Lately Belgium came in the news quite negatively, so here something to uplift our image. :) Two movies released to 'promote' Belgium. Public Movie[^] Business Movie[^] Enjoy.

Its not even called Brugges! Ok, a few of the cities are nice, its just a shame the rest is so relentlessly dull and torrid. In fact so mindnumbingly boring is the country that the entire population is driven to drinking vast quantities of beer in order to forget just how tawdry their daily existence is. And beside, Namur? Liege, Charlroi? Christ almighty, even as cities they are total dumps. Dumps with syringes on top that is, from all the heroin addicts. Lets face it, al the Walloons wish they were FRench, and all the Flems wish they were German. (Or even worse Bavarian)! Even Holand is nicer,. At least its dull AND clean, and the Dutch are nice. Belgium is dull AND dirty. The Waloons terminally depressed, and the Flemish are charmless and rude. But oddly also total wimps. Propably due to their insecurity at being abused by such an oppressive government and society.

True, Stella is very good, its a lot better than that Dutch crap. But why is it that Belgims, well, Flemish, snigger at anothers misfortune? Perhaps you are a Waloon, you ought to be by your name, and I dont have any beef with the Waloons, its just the Flemish who I think are underhanded and sneaky. Not something you can ever accuse the Dutch of who are always up front.

I'm no Walloon. Godfroid is a name of germanic descent which means 'Friend of God' or 'Afraid of God'. Wrong in both cases :) I'm not Flemish either. I actually lived in the Flemish part of the country for a while, but moved back to Brussels because I could not stand the bigotry and nationalism. I'm from Brussels, and we hate Walloons and Flemish equally well :laugh:

I actually lived in the Flemish part of the country for a while, but moved back to Brussels because I could not stand the bigotry and nationalism. I'm from Brussels, and we hate Walloons and Flemish equally well :laugh:
