Scientifically speaking the sound test is really "Against the velocity of a thixotropic liquid hurtling upwards through a resisant medium and with the effects of gravity acting upon it". Still, it is blindingly fast.

Paint is a thixotropic liquid. Air is a resistant medium. It is going upward, therefore has gravity acting upon it. It is not traveling at the speed of sound, otherwise there would be sonic booms every time a speaker vibrated. Please explain why you think it is crap?

I didn't turn on the sound so maybe it was mentioned but what is the speed of the connection they were using? Was it hitting a cache server? Still, entertaining.

From this[^] reply and this[^] link it looks like they were hitting desktop :). The test may be fake
