(for uk cpians) ..so is anyone confused by the possibility of (left wing) lib dems cuddling up to (pinochet loving) tories? yes the country has voted gordy out but more people voted left wing than right. so how could a right wing govt make sense?
Lib dems are like women. They believe they can change people by entering into a relationship with them. The tories will trample all over the lib dems, but they'll keep trying to turn them into good people. Only the country will suffer.

Not really - the three major parties in the UK are closer together on policy these days than ever before. There's a wider dischord within any of them than between them and their "neighbours". Contrast that with where the parties stood back in the 80s and you'll see what I mean (and even then, cabinet papers released since suggest Callahan would have done some of the same things as Thatcher if Labour had been re-elected in '79). Personally I just want all three of them to get on with it without all the tribalism for once. Who cares who's PM, as long as they sort out the mess they've made of the economy and don't break too much in the progress? :zzz:

There's a big difference between hoping something will happen and expecting it to. You seem to have missed that subtlety! What I actualy expect is a clusterf**k - no matter who's in charge. That's what politicians usually deliver, after all. :doh:
