http://www.infowars.com/cybersecurity-measures-will-mandate-government-id-tokens-to-use-the-internet/[^] The move to shut down and regulate the Internet under a new government-controlled system has accelerated into high gear with the announcement that the government’s cybersecurity strategy revolves around issuing Internet users with ID “tokens” without which they will not be able to visit websites, the latest salvo against web freedom which, in combination with Senator Joe Lieberman’s ‘kill switch’ bill, will serve to eviscerate the free Internet as we know it. Under the guise of “cybersecurity,” the government is moving to discredit and shut down the existing Internet infrastructure in the pursuit of a new, centralized, regulated world wide web. Say goodbye to the internet as we know it. Savor what we have now as it is going the way of Chinese style censorship. No longer will the god-level officials permit us to use the internet we have now, no longer will they permit us unlimited access to free-flowing information, no longer will we be permitted to excersize our first amendment as we do now on the internet.

To add to Ian's point. The article does not provide links to primary sources, nor does it even name the sources. Furthermore, it intentionally edits the Financial Times quote so as to be misleading. Follow the link and read the relevant FT article. It's quite clear that there is no compulsion, it intended to "allow citizens to use additional authentication techniques, such as physical tokens or modules on mobile phones, to verify who they are before buying things online or accessing such sensitive information as health or banking records." Now that's not a bad thing. And yes, this is a selective quote - but you are free to follow the link and see the context. PS I see you've moved having failed to support your RBS controls the government claim.

What's amazing to me is that you're still posting this crap here and in your "Truthbox". Are you just using your CrapBox to keep a record of all of the crazy accusations you throw around since no one is actually looking at it? (Of course, I realize the irony in that I had to look at it to see if you were still posting them there, but that was the only reason I was looking at it)

Did you really call infowars a news organization? They are like Fox News Channel. A mouthpiece for a political group. And you didn't read the original article, did you? You know, MIT showed that the tin foil hats make it EASIER to be controlled. You should really stop wearing one.

They managed to provide a link to the FT. Why not to the source that was the basis of the article? BTW I'm not your buddy. Oh, and where can I get some real? Could you point me to a free market supplier?

No longer will the god-level officials permit us to use the internet we have now, no longer will they permit us unlimited access to free-flowing information, no longer will we be permitted to excersize our first amendment as we do now on the internet.

You have to be one of the most stupid people I've ever heard of (and I've been around long enough to meet a lot of idiots). You don't think about anything, at all: everything, for you, is a knee-jerk reaction fueled by your fundamental ignorance and sheer, pig headed inability to admit that you are wrong. You are so bound up in conspiracies that you wouldn't recognize the truth if you saw it. Pitiful.
