In the 5+ years I've been a CP member, I don't remember too many occasions where you have introduced or participated in the many other subjects. No doubt you have, but having the illusion of being a "one trick pony" does get rather monotonous, and you have been banging that drum since before I joined here. Go on then, introduce "something different", and do so regularly. Can I tempt you to so do?

I take it its Japanese, since you are learning it, although it doesnt look like katakana of kanji.

はい、日本語でした。 There are three different syllabaries: Hiragana (ひらがな), used for Japanese words when there is either no Kanji or a reason to not use them; Katakana (カタカナ), used for foreign words and onomatopoeic words, or just for effect; and Kanji (漢字), which are basically adapted from Chinese and are honestly the best part of the language.

No, but it seemed pointless arguing with you when you cannot understand the difference between the French Meaning and the English. All you provided was an etymology of the word. Despite what it's origins were in the French language, it still has other meanings in English. This is why English is the largest language.
