It's all due to people fucking. We must put a halt to world population increase. More mouths mean more resources.

Should I laugh or pity you? Your capacity for original thought is marginally short of a sponge's. A dead sponge. Get a life and with that you'll get a worth-while opinion. Until that, you are a twat. A c_ck loving twat. When you've held a job, any job, for a year then you can talk about work. When you've written any commercial software, then you can boast your coding prowess. When you've left you're mother's side, then you can comment about other parts of the world. Until then, you can just STFU and will be treated with utter contempt. BTW, have fun on the pizza run.

I've done all of those things, and much much more. Don't you get it? You are the pathetic little cockroach. The little boy creature that lives in the United Kingdom. You have no life worth living, such a miserable existence you have to deal with (well actually you don't). Soon enough you will be in Council Housing with only the government to take care of you. Nobody will be around to shed a tear for you, euthanasia will be your only option. Wave to the authorities next time you look out the window, you little itsy bitsy tiny thing.

Your puny countries are the size of states, and your travels are a sign of dissatisfaction and unhappiness. Crunch.

Most of the countries I have lived in been because of my work. Yup I have a job doofus. The countries I didn't /choose/ to live in were because of my Father's job. So you see, I've travelled becauase I have life and not to get one; which you sorly lack. If you took your head out of the glue bag for one minute, you'd soon realise that the reason you are ridiculed is because your life to date amounts to nothing, all you can do is regurgitated Alex's shit. Get YOUR OWN OPINION and people will listen to you. Repeat other's and this'll carry on.

Being a "global phenomenon" does not mean that everything is getting warmer. It means the effect is not local or regional, as in it isn't focused on one geographical area. Ambiguous wording, perhaps, but not incorrect.

Oh really? Volume is what matters is it? And you came to this conclusion yourself or did you read it somewhere? What actually matters is temperature. And the Antarctic has ben getting colder for 60 years, and sea ice has been increasing. So if the volume is reducing, then it can only mean that precipitation has reduced. Is this to be expected with a cooling climate in the region? Who knows. (In fact Greenland is gaining thickness but loosing area so this could be the case). But clearly it isnt getting warmer in antarctica, and THATS the important point. And it is important because the theory of GH gas warming is that the poles sould warm the most. And only one is. So its not GH gas warming, Its a shift of heat from the southern hemisphere to the north or some such. As for the rest of mu points you didnt contradict them, can I take this as implicit agreement?

Ho hum, here we go again. In your previous reply you said: Well, I meant in human recorded history. So records of Scottish temperatures were kept as far back as say the Sumerians or Herodotus? (Depend when you think human recorded history started.) If you actually meant since records began, say so and give the date (or is it 'not very much').

I never said that and even if I had done so that still does not mean your claims are not exaggerated (or, alternatively, you are just plain sloppy in your claims - like some researchers you berate? :) ).

I learned that at school many years ago. And again it's irrelevant - questioning what I know is a tactic to divert attention from the fact that you make claims that when questioned do not stand up because they are exaggerated.

How stupid do you want to make yourself look? "The heat wave was a global phenomenon". Get it, heat wave? A period of heat?

Yes, I know what heat is... But why do you keep assuming that being "global" means it's affecting EVERYTHING? If it hits parts of North America, Asia, and Africa (or whichever regions it was - I'm caring less about this by the second) it's global, as opposed to regional.

Nice attempt at a redirect, but it's not going to work. You keep talking about increasing area... But if the area increases and the thickness drops, well then is there MORE ice or less? THAT's what matters when talking about the ice caps. The amount of ice that is on the cap instead of adding to sea levels.

You're using increased AREA to imply decreased temperatures... Like I said, VOLUME is what matters. Do you have any evidence of colder temperatures besides the surface area of the ice sheets, or are we done here?

Ho hum, here we go again. In your previous reply you said: Well, I meant in human recorded history. So records of Scottish temperatures were kept as far back as say the Sumerians or Herodotus? (Depend when you think human recorded history started.) If you actually meant since records began, say so and give the date (or is it 'not very much').

This one, though it does seem to resemble another recent argument. You're claiming that to be a "global phenomenon", it has to affect everything. I'm saying it only indicates that the effect is in multiple parts of the globe, instead of confined to one region.
