That would have burned up before hitting the Earth..... Not exactly Starship Troopers is it? Goodbye Buenos Aires
He took it all too far, but boy could he play guitar!

Yeah I read that as well! How interesting and exciting - in a funny sort of way. Probably not as exciting as Rooneys prostitute shenanigans for the vast majority of the population though. :sigh:

So his performance in the WC was that he was tired from late night sessions?

Quote: "Nasa estimates that asteroids smaller than 25 metres in diameter would burn up while entering the atmosphere and cause no damage" They only estimate. The larger one was 20m, what if their estimate is wrong. :doh:

I have seen meteorites that were smaller than 25 metres! Anyway, at that speed even a small one crashing into a city would do untold damage.

Am not sure where he did his naughtiness but I would have thought with his cash he could have done better than a quickie in the loo.

Drama, drama, drama. According to Astronomy Now[^]: Neither asteroid poses a serious threat to the Earth; if they were inbound they would disintegrate as they fall through our thick atmosphere. Most of the mass of the asteroid would burn up, with smaller surviving fragments landing as meteorites. Marc

I've held a meteorite in my hand that would have started out far smaller than that.

One week ago today I was on holiday in Devon, and spending the day on Blackpool Sands beach. I assume the sands bit is some sort of Devonish joke as there is none there and it is bloody painful to walk on. However, to try to amuse my 4 year old daughter I bought a kite from the beach shop for 3 pounds, a single string jobby - looked like a parrot. In the most part it sailed without incident except for one occasion when it dove from the sky and struck a woman walking innocently towards the cafe / shop area. I apologised and got it up again (fnarr). After lunch we had another go at flying the kite, and after some time it again made a dive for the ground, this time its victim saw it coming and jumped out of the way. She then started to shout "Twice! That's twice" as I realised it was the same woman as the first time and attempted to make further apology. This situation was not helped by my mother shouting out (in between fits of laughter) "It's the same woman". I had failed to realise at the time this was some sort of portent for the fate of the planet.
Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

so fitting. I'm currently reading "The Hammer of God" by Arthur C. Clarke; not finished yet, so I don't know if it going to miss or not.
Watched code never compiles.

The reason they can't give an exact number is that there isn't one. Re-entry speed, angle of approach (to the atmosphere), composition, shape, angular momentum all contribute to the burnup rate and the likelihood of fragmentation (fragments burn faster).
3x12=36 2x12=24 1x12=12 0x12=18

Probably. He has a history with wanting to sleep with whores. Probably because what girl would want to sleep with Shrek without getting paid?
