Suggestion for the Lounge (applicable to other forums too)

I sometimes find it very difficult to follow the messages and replies if they continue to another thread. I first click on the link of the daily news and then start reading the discussion and right after a read one of the replies: "D'OH", the page ended, and when I click to the next page to read the next reply I often get lost because I can't find where the page just folded, as when I click the next page, lots of new posts pushes the page down further, therefore, ruining the linearity and making me completely lost. Maybe there is already something that would help me in that (please don't flame me, I often miss things that are right in front of me), but in the title there could be a link to a dedicated thread to that topic alone, so I can navigate more cleanly through the messages of that topic as I'm interested on that topic not the ton of other topics and messages that pusshes it down the lounge. Wouldn't that be great?

I think 'Permalink' present at the bottom of every post is exactly this, what you are looking for!

At the bottom of each message are a series of widgets. One of them is 'View Thread' this will restrict your reading pleasure to that thread until you click the 'view all threads' widget at the top.

I think that 'Permalink' simply converts the url of the current message into one that when posted elsewhere, guarantees hitting that message, rather than just the forum it is in. :)

Not really what I was looking for, if you go to the permalink of "I'm glad I don't tweet! Pin" topic, you'll see that's till broken between pages (on 25 per page option of the forum)

Actually "View All Threads" isn't that great, as it always returns to page one. What I do is use the "Back" button of the browser itself. I did signal this shortcoming in sucks&bugs a couple of months ago, it probably is sitting on a list now. :)
