Really? Surely Greatest African Country in Africa? Also, define Great. If you mean size, it is not the biggest, if you mean wealth, it is not the richest if you mean culturally it is not even close. All you have is oil and ethnic troubles between christians and muslims, and as for the most populous, that just goes to show the inability to have family planning, and with large families comes poverty and ill-education. Britain is 'Great' because it is the largest of the British Isles. In this case the term great is not an attribute of how one appraises an island, merely a reflection of it's geographical and cartogrphical anomolies.

Britain is 'Great' because it is the largest of the British Isles. In this case the term great is not an attribute of how one appraises an island, merely a reflection of it's geographical and cartogrphical anomolies.

Actually, it's because "Grande Bretagne" was bigger than the other Bretagne on the French mainland. It has nothing to do with the countries of the UK.
