Hello again! I'm searching for a way to avoid receiving calls from certain numbers: repetitive promotions, people I don't want to speak with... Is there any possibility to install any application that would filter completely the incoming call? and by completely I mean: - Don't allow the phone to make any sound and/or vibration. - Delete that call from any log. PS: I've looking in the Internet using google to try to find one, but all of them seem to have non positive feedback from the people that have tried them... Thank you in advance!

This approach has worked for me on both my home phone and my cell phone. I only answer calls if I recognize the number or if it's from my contact list. I let all other numbers go to the voice box. Genuine callers will always leave a message. Spammers never leave a message. I have not spoken with a spammer in years now.

      Regards, Nish

I wish I could, but we are the first-call number for our 87-year old neighbours' Careline. When she presses the panic button, the Careline call us (with a withheld number) so we can run up there and get her an ambulance if she needs it. So I can't even prevent withheld numbers, I have to answer it. Generally, though, she falls over or has chest pains between 3 and 5 in the morning, which eliminates all but the most determined spammers!

Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

There is an integrated firewall on the cell phone. Depending on the model and the OS version. You can find it in: Options - Security Options - Firewall. Take a look and see if that can help you.

          Free your mind...

Well, usually I don't leave a message. I don't like to screen my calls and I hate to "discrimate" calls looking at the caller ID. There are times I don't pick up the phone no matter who is calling, like in middle of lunch.

            Yusuf May I help you?
