D'oh. You're very unlikely going to get a useful response on this particular board. You can either post in the hardware forum or - much better - email or call DELL support.

Audio Driver issue with Optiplex 755 and Windows 7 Friends, Recently (Sunday), I upgraded my home PC (Optiplex 755 comes with Vista Professional by default) to Windows 7. Audio - Unable to installed Video - Installed it, but it shows an warning everytime I open Windows Ethernet, AMT - Didn't installed. Forget the others, I need the Audio driver. Is anyone had this problem before? Any idea how to resolve it?

I'm sorry, I can't help you with your question but I see nothing in there that deserves a 1. Let me counteract that.

Thank you :). I feel bad that I didn't notice the Hardware Forum in CP. If you could move it to Hardware Forum, that would be great too.

You would not be the only person to ignore the hardware forum. I can think of at least one regular who pretty much only posts hardware and software support questions here. Iain.

Have you tried to forcefully install the Vista driver? I know I have to do that for my WIFI PCI card, even though the VID and PID's dont even match.

Odd. I have an OptiPlex 755 at my work. Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit detected all of the hardware without issue. Did you run a clean install or did you upgrade over the top of Vista? Also, Vista drivers should (for the most part) work in Windows 7 as long as you match the bit version of the operating system. If you're installing Windows 7 64-bit, make sure you download 64-bit drivers from the Dell/manufacturer's site. Hope this helps. :) Flynn

Did you run a clean install or did you upgrade over the top of Vista?

                                    Yes, I did.

Also, Vista drivers should (for the most part) work in Windows 7 as long as you match the bit version of the operating system.

I installed most of the drivers by setting the compatibility mode to Vista. But Audio driver didn't work in that way. I should check with DELL. Thanks Flynn
