Just been to Tesco and I could have purchased the DVD of Iron-Man 2 for £12 or Blu-Ray from £24, but I opted to purchase the Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy for £15. I did decline the offer on the Monster Munch. 98p per pack (large pack) normally 99p or 2 for £2.

Sainsburys had a similar "Offer" on Coca-Cola the other week. Buy a fourpack and pay more than if you bought four individual bottles. I wonder how many fourpacks they sold? Mind you a few years ago they had a major cock-up. They had a BOGOF on prawns, which was nice, and they were £5.99 a pack. They then put them on half price offer as they were getting close to sell-by date. So they were reduced to £2.99 per pack. I bought 2x packs and was amazed when I saw £2.99 go through, then £2.99 go through, then £5.99 come off as it was BOGOF. Sainsburys had paid me 1p to take these out of the store. I excused myself and rushed over and bought another 20 packs, cleaning them out as it happened. The girl looked amazed when my total showed up. I paid and left the store, and was donating packs of prawns to people I knew.

 I've never found anything that good; but there've been a few times I've found myself cursing my small freezer size because it meant I couldn't buy a years supply of X while on sale.

Yeah, I once filled my neighbours chest freezer with Fillet Steak when ASDA cocked up on it's prices. He didn't mind! It was working out about £1 per lb, which is nothing for fillet, so I let him have a nice couple of dinners.

I have just returned from Tesco as well. My best spot was Chocolate Suggestives £1 (on offer) and right next to them a twin pack at £2.64. I actually saw someone pick up the twin pack and pointed this out to them. They just gave me a strange look and continued on their way. You can't help some people! I also have a grump about Tesco. Their Salami has gone up by £1.32 per foot.

I buy Salami by weight, not length. But then I am buying it to eat, not for any other purpose, eh Henry! [Wink Wink]

And you're assuming this had something to do with the prices? ;) :-D

I found this in Tesco back in June (yes it has taken me this long to find the e-mail where I told people at the time); Tesco blackcurrant squash 750ml 87p or two for £1.50. 1.5L 74p

I would have been intrigued to see how they would have reacted if you bought nothing but the prawns so ended up with a total of minus 10p.

I don't know if the till could handle that, I would have to go and buy a single carrot or something.

I recall not so long ago (a month maybe) I spotted a box of 6 packs of Maryland Cookies at £6 per box. Individually I could buy them for 47p per pack. Hummmm, makes you wounder about the people they have working for them, in the pricing dept. By the way, I didn't mention that purchased a game today from Tesco called Fruity Bugs which is a clone of Wiggly Worms. Was £10 reduced to £5. When I went through the check-out......99p :-D
