MARTIANS FIND EARTH!

Point of Order... You definition is, of course, correct. I was talking not of the multitudinous tones that are apparent and available within the confines of any object to which the term could aply, but in the biological terminology of that root word. In this case it refers to the difference in pigmentation between individuals or sexes within a species. My argument is that is would be unlikely to arise in a lifeform evolving on a planet with a limited electromagnetic spectrum, such as Mars. The high CO2 atmosphere would naturally lend a red tinge to everything, and the dust storms would exacerbate this effect. Therefore colour differentiation would not be a heritable trait.

Perhaps - it's difficult to work out. It may be (and indeed is likely) that their eyes would respond to different wavelengths and thus our colour perception would have no meaning within their context. Under such conditions, without evolutionary pressure to "blend in" within our visual spectrum - which is why tigers are as they are - the pigments could have gone any way at all, since it would not necessarily confer a disadvantage. We just won't know until we get there... Edgar Rice Burroughs had them in several hues - and that's good enough for me!
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

Actually I haven't seen that movie in years... It's almost never on TV, and when it is, it's on basic cable with annoying commercials, edited down enough to ruin the best parts.

Is that a clip from Mars Attacks? Love that movie... So ridiculous but so funny... "I want to remind the American people that you've still got two out of three branches of government working for you, and hey... That ain't bad!"

Hey, I lust after female celebrities MY OWN age, thank you very much :) Actually, I wasn't sure how old my #3 and #4 ones were... But I just checked IMDb, and one is 10 months older and the other is 8 months younger, so I'm still in good shape :)

Good to know I'm not the only one... The problem is that there are fewer and fewer who still look as good as Alyssa Milano who is the same age as I am.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.
