We have to buy insurance from big bad insurance companies. Apparently it works.

No, they don't. Obamacare is just a mandate to buy insurance from the same big insurance companies that have been trumping you like a cheap whore. Ontop of that they are raising their rates (which oboomboo promised wouldn't happen). Also, we are going bankrupt, any tax money that goes into this is already spent and it just isn't going to work. You will get an asprin for a heart attack. You will get a free abortion, you will get free vaccines, you will get free SSRIs and opiates, but you will not get healthcare.

I love how they still label this Obamacare, when it's more or less exactly the plan republicans had attempted to push for a decade ago. Obamacare was a public option, this is an unholy monster created by a combination of corporate interests and blatant politicking.

And obama signed it with pleasure. It was one of his great accomplishments.

Riiight. Love to be there when you explain that to the conscripting officer. But, whether it is patriotism or not, he has guts, you don't.

              Evidently not.

But I thought he was bad for demanded his pay. Are you a third world immigrant? Neither his healthcare nor his security are part of his pay. They are benefits. They are a charge on the taxpayer. With $174,000 p.a., he earns sufficient to pay health insurance. I was surprised that Representatives required a security detail, I don't condone it. You can always elect another to replace any you 'lose'.

I see in that entire conversation he completely avoids the point of why he didn't just pay for it himself if government run, subsidies or otherwise health care was against his ethics. This man like most people have ethics of convenience rather than confidence. He like most can't admit when they're wrong because it would make him loose face. After this last election it is clear to me that facts as can be proven with any 5 senses we poses really don't matter. Perception, as CSS grabs as fact, is what decides elections and changes minds. Making things up as quality in politics is as masterful as writers telling a story right now. Why talk about the problems facing our nation or discussing what kind of country we want to create when money and power can't be collected from either of those things. Tea Partiers are going to be sorely disappointed in their saviors just like they are now with Scott Brown. There is a lot of corruption in DC, but it didn't get there by itself. It had to get elected by 'we' the people. We're complicit in it.

What a load of hogwash. SS is a very popular program that huge majorities of the population support and, of course there is nothing 'free' about it. Most people pay more in SS taxes than income tax. Nor is unemployement insurance 'free'.

More hogwash. Income taxes are part of the price we pay for our government. If you don't like it, you are free to move to any locality that has no taxes. (Good luck with that).

More hogwash. Your moral hazard argument really carries no weight. It might carry some weight if the social safety net was anywhere near as generous as most European countries, but it isn't by any stretch of the imagination. And they don't seem to have the 'hopeless hellpits' that you imagine.

He should move to Somalia. It has no government so no taxes and he can do pretty much what ever he wants. Of course the warlords might beg to differ, but no government yay. He's such a tool.
