So Mattel has decided to put a video camera in Barbie. Why? I don't know. But they did so those of us with young daughters have to deal with it. She has a small video camera in her necklace that can record 30 minutes of video and play it on a screen on her backpack. Anyway, "In a written statement, the FBI said that 'the alert's intent was to ensure law enforcement agencies were aware that the doll — like any other video-capable equipment — could contain evidence and to not disregard such as item during a search.'" The alert was accidentally given to some media outlets. Here's the new headline: FBI: Barbie video cam could be used to make child porn [^]. Totally taking the alert out of context and blowing it way out of proportion. I'm surprised they haven't said that about the kinect yet. These are the people we rely on to give us information about what's going on in the world? :wtf:

Totally agreed, man... This is the most idiotic news story I've seen in a while. It's a bloody toy with a digital camera in it... Big deal. My cell phone has a camera in it. I could buy a watch with a camera in it. I could even buy a pair of sunglasses with a camera in them. Not everything is about kiddie porn.
