Well Done! I hope you realise that you will now be the 'Go To Guy' when these things need doing in future.

Thanks. I'm actually ok with that. I quite enjoyed it.

Thanks. No, I did another back in the summer, but although it went ok, I wasn't really happy with it so I resolved to be better this time.

A giant leap for a man, a small step for thespian kind. Just you wait. A few more good presentations, and who knows?

Thanks. I get really nervous too, but when it actually came to it I was prepared enough that I could just talk through the nervousness.

Yeah being prepared and a good knowledge of subject matter are important and if I am comfortable with that I'm OK. Used to teach in house classes in places I've worked on VAX architecture, debugging and C++ programming when it first came out. But am extremely shy so was still a tad nervous.

My talk on Microcontrollers yesterday went really well. I was buzzing afterwards. I Got some good comments at the end, and the feedback ratings have been amazing. 8.5/9 so far. I can really understand why people do this kind of thing now. It's terrifying, but enjoyable at the same time. Looking forward to my next few now. (Collision detection on WP7 in February is booked, but I may also be doing something at DDD9 in January if I get the votes. Now that will be scary)

Enjoyed the nugget last night. If you were nervous, it didn't really show. It was almost as if the 'mistakes' were deliberate to show how if you follow the instructions, the thing works!

Talking to a bunch of pumpkins would also make me pretty unsettled.

I find that I get most nervous when I feel that there may be someone in the audience who knows more about the subject than me. So I end up with a weird backwards-paranoia about speaking, where when I'm talking to a bunch of high-level execs (who know next to nothing about development) I'm not at all nervous, but you put me in front of a group of regular day-shift devs, I get seriously cold feet. Probably comes from the 2 years I spent teaching.
That is so very true. Its the regular guys who know when you are bluffing and when not. :)
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it. My latest tip/trick Visit the Hindi forum here.

Thanks. Didn't expect any on CP would be there. That's quite cool. Do you go to NxtGen regularly? Believe me, the mistakes were definitely not deliberate. In my head I was going "oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap". I'm just glad I got it fixed so quickly both times. I'm spoiling the illusion here aren't I
